The Brick Tomb of MacunVillage is located 500 meters west of MacunVillage, Jifeng town, Ji’shan County. According to Annal of Tomb Pre-repair of Duan Family, it is the tomb of Duan family before Dading years of Jing Dynasty in Macun village. The cemetery is 160 meters long from east to west, 140 meters wide from north to south, and covers an area of 22,400 square meters. There are 14 tombs, which can be divided into four or five rows from north to south. Each row is scattered in a fan shape. From 1978 to 1979, 9 tombs were cleared, all of which were brick-room tombs, consisting of a tomb passage and a burial chamber. The wall of the tomb was decorated with wood-like brick carvings. The burial chamber is rectangular in plane, generally about 25 meters long, 2.1 meters wide and 3.5-4 meters high. The tomb is covered with an arch roof, and a brick stage is built in the middle of the tomb with carved drama characters and bands. Porcelain lamps, bowls, pillows, copper hairpins, Xi’ning silver ingots and Tiansheng silver ingots were unearthed. In 1992, a tomb exhibition was set up by moving three main rooms of the Wu ancestral temple, which is a Qing Dynasty building from Wucheng village; and main gates were served by three crossing stages of Wenchang Temple which were built in the 11th year of the Republic of China (1922). In 1996, the Shanxi Jing Dynasty Tomb Museum was established on this cemetery. On June 25, 2001, he Brick Tomb of Macun Village was announced a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.
