Jiangzhou Cloud Carving is a fine carving of high-grade carved lacquer crafts. It can be said to be "a unique in China". There are more moire patterns, so it's called cloud carving. Also known as "Ti Xi", that is, the three colored paints are regularly piled up layer by layer on the surface of the utensils. After reaching a certain thickness (about 0.3-0.5 mm), the carving pattern is carved with a "V" knife. Different colors can be seen on the edge of the knife, just like the level of rhino horn. Cloud carving was first created in Jiaxing Mansion in Yuan Dynasty, and then spread to Xinjiang in Jiaqing Dynasty. After generations of skillful craftsmen competing to carve, Xinjiang cloud carving has had a style of its own with exquisite workmanship, and were often furnishings of the official quarters in the Qing Dynasty. Its shape is of primitive simplicity rare and precious, grave and decorous, distinct, the lacquer is smooth like jade; Its quality is strong mellow, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, not afraid of water, abrasion resistance, the longer the use time, the brighter.

After the founding of new China, the people's government organized old artists to resume the development of cloud carving products.Products began to export in 1962. Orders increased year by year, best-selling to Japan, the United States, Hong Kong, Macao, southeast Asia and other countries and regions, and won the national and provincial excellent products award for many times. In 1978, it was named "trustworthy products" by Economic Committee of Shanxi Province; In 1979, it was chosen as Shanxi Quality Products; In 1980, it was rated as high quality product by the Ministry of Light Industry of China; In 1981, won the first prize in the national industry competition, and won the national "Hundred Flowers Award" silver cup; In 1990, won the national "Hundred Flowers Award" gold medal.
