Ruicheng Pu Opera Xianqiang Art Research Institute was established in September 2011, formerly known as Ruicheng Yellow River Pu Opera Troupe. The Institute sets Ruicheng E’long Pu Opera XianQiang Performance Limited Company, with the existing fixed asset 400 ten thousand RMB, a staff of 65 people, including a national second-grade actor, two secondary-grade performers, ten actors of third-grade; among them one actor is awarded with Chinese culture prize for drama, three actors are awarded with gold medal, fours actors are awarded with silver medal, three actors are awarded with "Xinghua Medal" in Shanxi Province.
Since 2008, the Institute created 17 dramas, 27 opera highlights, restore and replay the classical dramas such as the Golden Beach, A Centenarian General and Hate to be Locked in Royal Palace and so on. At the same time, it focuses on creating modern dramas such as Life，"Han" Chief Repaid His Debt and so on. As the inheritance and protection of heritage operas, the Institute has arranged large Xianqiang dramas such as "Han" Chief Repaid His Debt, Adopted Daughter, I Want to Marry You, Dad. The new dramas perform in kinds of cities, and won experts and audience's high praise. Pu Opera life was awarded the “Five ‘One’ Projects Awards” of spiritual civilization construction in Shanxi Province in 2010. In September 2012, it won 16 awards in 8 categories in the Second National Drama Culture Award. In 2013, it was awarded the honor of "Excellent Group of Art Creation and Production" by Cultural Department of Shanxi Province. At the same year, the Publicity Department and Cultural Department awarded it the title of "the Fifth National Excellent Group’s for Serving Farmers and Community-level Cultural Construction". In 2014, "Han" Chief Repaid His Debt won innovative drama award of “Xinghua Award" in Shanxi Province. Xianqiang Dad, I Will Marry You won innovative drama award of the third "Chrysanthemum Award” in 2015. In 2016, Chen Song who acted Making Chao in Against Western Cool won the Gold Award in the youth drama competition of Yuncheng City. In September 2018, intangible Xianqiang Adoptive Daughter had an opportunity to go to Kunshan City in Jiangsu Province to participate a national local opera exhibition advocated by the Art Department of the National Culture and Tourism Department and the Cultural Department of Jiangsu Province. It was highly praised by the local audience, and the sponsor awarded a medal of "Commemorative Performance”.
